Cut throat competition does not even begin to define what exists in the tech industry with each company constantly trying to outdo the other. With the month of September comes several launches; Samsung has already paved the way with the launch of their first smartwatch and latest phablet, the Galaxy Note 3. Sony and Qualcomm inc also have their line of smart watches ready to be shipped out anytime now while Apple has the entire tech industry agog with what they’ll be unveiling at their event billed for the 10th of September.
Coming on the heels of all this is Acer’s launch of the world’s first 4k smartphone, the Acer Liquid S2. The phablet has the distinguishing feature of being able to record video footages in ultra-high definition, a first for any mobile device. It also has a 6-inch screen, 2GB of RAM and an impressive HD display. In addition, the Liquid Acer S2 offers great imaging features like being able to snap immediately from the lock screen, separately adjust focus and exposure and set up a default favorite mode for taking pictures the way you want to.
The phone is expected to hit the shelves from October and will not be sold anywhere outside of Europe. Also, pricing has not yet been given for the phones.
