INTRODUCING THE BACKPACK THAT IS BOMB-PROOF
A rucksack that can shield the wearer from a bomb blast, it has been designed to act as a basic personal shelter in the event of an emergency or terror strike.
The designer Hila Raam, 27, who is targeting the Israeli market with what she describes is a 'ground-breaking product', believes there is a significant potential for the bag, which weighs just
over five pounds. Wearers simply have to pull the side straps on the bag and yellow strings from the hood if they hear an air-raid siren, and lie flat on the floor.
It looks like an ordinary bag but it is no ordinary bag - it can save lives. It is easy to use in real situation. It is great for travellers and journalists who visit dangerous places, has a 25-litre capacity and can also be worn as a vest - thanks to a zip which disconnects the bag from the vest.
She hopes that one day her invention will be irrelevant. Nice I will say…
