Former BBA Winner Karen Igho is now a British citizen after she successfully acquired the country’s famed red passport.
The controversial reality show star announced this via her Twitter handle @karenigho this morning and invited all her friends for a drink in her home. “I just became a citizen of the UK…I’m so happy…Drinks for everyone,” she tweeted in the early hours of today alongside a provoking bikini photo.
While announcing her good news of procuring the British red passport, Karen did not reveal how her application for the United Kingdom citizenship sailed through.

Samsung pays Apple $1 Billion In 5 cent coins

On the 14th of November 2013 more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.

ASUU STRIKE: Schools May Resume On Monday After NEC Meeting This Weekend

Latest developments indicate that the five-month old ASUU strike, may be called off over the weekend.
A source who pleaded anonymity, told newsmen that the National Executive Council, NEC meeting, which was suspended indefinitely because of the death of Late Professor Festus Iyayi, a former president of the Union, maybe be reconvened on Saturday.
He said that Iyayi’s death brought shock to the Union, especially as he was on his way to official assignment and the ASUU had to put the meeting on hold to honour him.
“There is strong indication that the NEC meeting will be reconvened on Saturday,” he said.
When asked if the strike will actually be suspended, he said: “I think so, judging by reports from the Monday congresses we held simultaneously, the union may suspend the strike on Saturday or Sunday.”

Students Burn Down IMT School Building In Order To Avoid Exam Malpractice Punishment

 

According to a student at the Institute of Management & Technology, IMT, Enugu, the Asa block of the institute was set ablaze last two nights at about 7pm.Allegedly by some final year students of the school who had been booked for exam malpractice.
The final students who feared they would be getting serious punishment for their act and couldn't think of any other possible way out, decided to burn down the building where answer scripts were packed, so as to get rid of the evidence against them.

Painting auctioned for more than $142 million, breaks record

A painting by artist Francis Bacon sold for $142,405,000 on Tuesday, breaking the record as the most expensive piece of art ever auctioned, according to a statement from the auction house.

"Three Studies of Lucian Freud" was sold after six minutes of bidding in the room and on the phone at Christie's in New York City, according to spokeswoman Elizabeth Van Bergen.

Painted in 1969, it is known as one of Bacon's most iconic works, as it features Lucian Freud at the apex of his relationship with Bacon, according to the auction house's statement.

The painting was part of a record-breaking auction that grossed $691,583,000, the highest total for an auction sale in art market history, according to Christie's.
